Megan supports Gen Art in NYC

Megan recently attended the Gen Art June 2009 Benefit—the New York–based art, film, music and fashion nonprofit organization—has enlisted several of its famous alumni, as well as other designers and actors, to help host a fund-raiser on June 24 in New York to raise money for the organization, which is challenged with recouping lost corporate funding for its events. It was really neat to see such a good turn out...congrats to my friend Sara Vicendese, who sits on their committee, for a job well done! Oh and by the way...Whitney Port from "The city" was there, and so were the cameras, filming her walking around and mingling...to be seen on an upcoming episode of the MTV reality show... I think my purple jacket made a shot... : )

Meg and Tory Burch for GIRLS QUEST!

I hosted an event last night at the Tory Burch Boutique in NYC's trendy Meatpacking district...everyone was invited to come check out the latest clothes and shoes from the hot designer, enjoy drinks and desserts, and shop for a GREAT cause. A portion of the proceeds went to the wonderful organization GIRLS QUEST. I became aware of their great work a year ago in NYC... they strive in encouraging young women to acheive and dream big! Check out http://www.girlsquest.org/. Here is a photo with my fellow co-hosts...thank you to EVERYONE who turned out and shopped! and yes, I bought a pair of fabulous Tory Burch high heels! All for a good cause! : ) Meg

More London photos! Big Ben

Meg reporting from Big Ben in London!

Meg takes Londontown!

Hello mates! I just returned from my whirlwind trip to London! I was sent there Friday to cover Susan Boyle and the show "Britain's Got Talent". In this photo I am inteviewing fans outside the finale of the show on Saturday. If you have not heard of Susan Boyle, all you need to do is pick up a paper or find her singing "I dreamed a dream" on you tube...this woman was blasted to superstardom in a matter of weeks, finished 2nd on the show and now is recovering at an upscale rehab facility in London. I ran around London for a few days, interviewing people about her care and how she is doing, as well as questioning if the producers of reality shows really take good care of their contestants. This poor woman obviously needed more help along the way... On a happier note - she seems to be getting better and might join the Britain's Got Talent tour which kicks off June 12th. What was interesting is that this woman attracted press from all around the world. I was interviewed by French, Russian and Japanese press about why America loves Susan Boyle. I also appeared on Sky News and the BBC. London is such a pretty city! From my runs in Hyde Park to the yummy food and delightful people ( that accent is very contagious!)... I think London is one of the most enchanting cities on earth and I can't wait to go back! Cheers!
